UKGC

Also: Gambling Commission · Gambling Commission of Great Britain

The Gambling Commission of Great Britain — the statutory regulator that licenses and supervises operators serving the British market.

In detail

The UKGC is a non-departmental public body created under the Gambling Act 2005. It licenses operators, software suppliers and personal management licence holders, sets the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP) and the Remote Technical Standards (RTS), and can fine, suspend or revoke licences. UKGC-licensed operators must segregate customer funds, run know-your-customer checks, integrate with GAMSTOP, and meet independent game-fairness standards. Disputes the operator cannot resolve are escalated to an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution body.
